How should your R.M.Williams boots fit?

A proper R.M.Williams fit should be snug at the ball of the foot and across the instep, with no pressure felt at the toe cap, because this part does not change when worn. Despite the boots' slightly cupped back, some heel lifts may occur when walking. The leather used by R.M.Williams is of premium quality and will not stretch over time, but it will adjust to the shape of your foot as you wear the boots. Keep this in mind when checking your measurements against the R.M. Williams size chart. If it feels tight, go up a size.

Measuring Guide

A step-by-step guide on how to find your perfect size (in millimetres (mm).

Follow these easy steps to get the right size. For the best fit, wear the socks you would usually wear with boots.

Step 1 Place your foot on a piece of paper. Mark the points at the back of the heel & big toe. Use a tape measure to measure the length in-between. This will give you boot size.

Step 2 Measure around your foot at its widest point (just behind the toes). Wrap the tape measure around your foot completely. This will give you your width measurement.

Step 3 Do the same for the other foot.

Step 4 Match the width & length measurements of your larger foot against our size chart. If you're in-between 2 fits or sizes, go with the larger one.

     • D = Regular
     • E = Wide

Each fitting within the same size varies by approximately 6mm or 1/4” in foot width. To find your ideal fit, please refer to the ‘Width' columns D & E.
