Size Guide R.M.Williams Mens Boots

R.M. Williams Men's Boot Size Guide: Measure and Convert Your Size

Product measurements

When selecting your size, please note that R.M.Williams boots are crafted using men's UK footwear sizing. Men's boots can come in a range of fittings:

     • F = Narrow
     • G = Regular
     • H = Wide
     • X = Extra Wide

Each fitting within the same size varies by approximately 0.64cm or 1/4” in foot width. To find your ideal fit, please refer to the ‘Width' columns G, H, X.

Measuring Guide

A step-by-step guide on how to find your perfect size (in millimetres (mm).

Follow these easy steps to get the right size. For the best fit, wear the socks you would usually wear with boots.

  • Step 1 Place your foot on a piece of paper. Mark the points at the back of the heel & big toe. Use a tape measure to measure the length in-between. This will give you boot size.
  • Step 2 Measure around your foot at its widest point (just behind the toes). Wrap the tape measure around your foot completely. This will give you your width measurement.
  • Step 3 Do the same for the other foot.
  • Step 4 Match the width & length measurements of your larger foot against our size chart. If you're in-between 2 fits or sizes, go with the larger one.

Common Customer Questions

What's the difference between the Gardener Commando and the standard Gardener Boot?
The Gardener adds a full storm welt, comfort insole, and treaded rubber outsole for improved weather protection, grip, and underfoot comfort.

Is the leather waterproof?
The oiled leather offers enhanced water resistance thanks to oils and waxes infused during tanning. While not fully waterproof, it performs well in wet conditions and develops a rugged patina over time.

Can these boots be resoled?
Yes. The Goodyear welt and full storm welt construction mean the boots are fully repairable and can be resoled.

Are they suitable for farm work or outdoor use?
Yes. The treaded rubber sole provides excellent traction, while the durable leather upper and storm welt help protect against mud, moisture, and rough conditions.

What is oiled leather?
Oiled leather is a heavyweight full-grain leather treated with oils and waxes during tanning. It is highly durable, naturally water-resistant, and develops a rich, worn-in look with age.
