When selecting your size, please note that R.M.Williams boots are crafted using men's UK footwear sizing. Men's boots can come in a range of fittings:

     • F = Narrow
     • G = Regular
     • H = Wide
     • X = Extra Wide

Each fitting within the same size varies by approximately 0.64cm or 1/4” in foot width. To find your ideal fit, please refer to the ‘Width' columns G, H, X.

Measuring Guide

A step-by-step guide on how to find your perfect size (in millimetres (mm).

Follow these easy steps to get the right size. For the best fit, wear the socks you would usually wear with boots.

  • Step 1 Place your foot on a piece of paper. Mark the points at the back of the heel & big toe. Use a tape measure to measure the length in-between. This will give you boot size.
  • Step 2 Measure around your foot at its widest point (just behind the toes). Wrap the tape measure around your foot completely. This will give you your width measurement.
  • Step 3 Do the same for the other foot.
  • Step 4 Match the width & length measurements of your larger foot against our size chart. If you're in-between 2 fits or sizes, go with the larger one.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are R.M.Williams boots true to size?

Yes, they generally run true to UK/Australian sizing. However, because they are made from premium natural leathers, they will stretch slightly and mould to your foot over time. If you are between sizes or prefer a roomier feel, we recommend sizing up.

How should my R.M.Williams boots fit when I first try them on?
They should feel firm across the bridge of the foot but never painful. You should have a slight "flick" or movement in the heel, which will disappear once the leather footbed settles and conforms to your foot shape.
What is the difference between R.M.Williams G and H fittings?
Each fitting increment varies by approximately 0.64cm (1/4") in foot width. A G fit is the standard regular width, while an H fit provides that extra bit of room for those with a wider foot joint.
Does R.M.Williams use US or UK sizing?
